I saw this in Maui. It’s a living tree
Well, it’s trying to live but for tourists intent on leaving their mark.
I tried to get the name of the tree but all I could find out was that it’s the ‘wood flower tree’. So called because the green hard carp of the fruit eventually turns the color of wood and opens up like a flower.
Another person said it was used in Hawaiian wedding bouquets because of its durability.
I couldn’t stop looking at this tree.
Wouldn’t it be interesting if the length of the relationships were inextricably linked to the length of the life of written upon leaf!
