Cherry Blossoms

I went to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens today armed with my camera expecting to be awash in cherry blossoms. But it wasn’t time yet only very few trees were flowering. Plus it was a little chilly. The blossoms that had bloomed were tiny, not yet ready for the specular show visitors are treated to each spring.  The close-up shots of flowers are in pots on sale at the garden shop. Nothing fancy coming from the ground yet.

The grass is still brown in this shot. We have had quite the winter this year.

A to Z Challenge Acrostic Poem: PAIS

IMG_1250

P is for PAIS

Definition :PAIS…people from whom a jury is drawn

P   Prospective jurors wait quietly preoccupied with playing on their cell phones or lap tops

A   All are present from sense of duty or gentle urging

I    Introductions of attorneys explanation of the case the law is the law regardless of personal feelings  Audra was puzzled as she mulled it all over

S   She asked the prosecutor what if there was a little known law stating that each day at noon a citizen must jump off the Brooklyn Bridge could he put aside his values and let it happen she was then politely thanked for her service and removed from the jury pool

Photo taken at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens last summer, that is the color of the berries which was as little odd I thought. They looked artificial.
