first bite a fall symphony

age old temptation

FALL

leaves don their colors

oranges yellows reds browns

as they join the swirl of the wind

the dance of fall in full swing

at its end turning leaves bid farewell

as trees are set for slumber

steam fogged up the station

the train rolls down the tracks

as the fog dissipates there he stood

focused- as though he had been watching

her anxiously search for him from the platform

scanning the coaches through the windows

as he emerged through the fog she paused

took a deep breath

tried to quiet her heart and took him in

he was home
