LOST HOPE
not knowing how to ferret out the love that was truly his
he balanced on the edges
teetering became too much
fleeing the demons he could not quiet
he succumbed
leaving behind everlasting chaos

I don’t know if the person you are writing about here is real or fiction or if it’s someone you know, but I was immediately reminded of the recent loss of Robin Williams. Sadly, your poem is the end result for too many, but I have to believe that talking, that connecting with others is a balm that can help. Thank you for writing and sharing this.

It’s real. Unfortunately the signs were either missed or not appropriately addressed. He reached out at the end right before he made a ghastly choice.

I suspected as much. I’m sorry you have had to deal with a loss that way.
