Sakura = Japanese flowering cherry
“…A cherry blossom is the flower of any of several trees of genus Prunus, particularly the Japanese cherry, Prunus serrulata, which is called sakura after the Japanese (桜 or 櫻; さくら)….”
“…The transience of the blossoms, the exquisite beauty and volatility, has often been associated with mortality…”

I spent some time at the garden this week. It was in full spring fling. They are getting ready for the Annual Cherry Blossom Festival to take place on 30 Apr – 01 May. And, a film crew was poking about. Something is cooking as evidence by to multitude of big box trucks parked on the street outside the park. A movie is in the making.

For a cooking pot and twisted tales
the rustle of leaves
in a fall breeze comes with
a drizzle of colors
and a chorus all its own
