Autumn Haibun

It is that time of year again, my favorite. My trips to the mountain become more of a favorite thing. Actually seeing stars is more of a necessity. It seems the air is clearer and visibility is at its best. Though that may have more to do with the constant drizzle of leaves from the twin maples. At any rate, I find myself more around the outdoor fire pit, marshmallow stick in hand. A ritual infused with laughter, chatter and tall tales with family and friends.
