Hope & Wait

Tanka Tuesday over at Silver Threading
where the prompt is Hope & Wait

in this harsh winter
hope for spring turns to ‘longing’
– the first crocus blooms
renewals new beginnings
wait is over spring is here

Autumn Blues

deep into fall
she reveals her true beauty –
frayed autumn leaves

carpet of rich burgundy
chases the late autumn blues

summer’s vines

summer’s vines
persistent as paperwork
fall to my blade
yet i want nothing more
than my head on your chest

An evening
Of tangled thoughts…
Through branches
Even this rugged moon
Looks tattered at the edges

For Carpe Diem Haiku

Full Circle

rainbow of colors
scattered autumn leaves wind swept –
lingering seagull

the crane has come home
cherry blossom in full bloom
second chance at love

sunflower stands tall
blue sky on memorable
summer day, no clouds

butterfly on bush
alone, gorging on nectar
wings color of beer

For Carpe Diem Haiku: Full Circle

The challenge “Full Circle” means:

“… the goal is to write haiku with the twelve (12) words I will give. It’s a kind of word-whirl and you have to use the words given in the clock-wise direction. 1. rainbow
2. autumn
3. seagull
4. crane
5. cherry blossom
6. love
7. sunflower
8. blue sky
9. clouds
10. butterfly
