Nice idea that “twist” in your second haiku, using the 2nd line of the starting haiku, as the second line. You have created a beautiful Troiku

I love this – I’ll be thinking of my ancestors leading up to Halloween and I enjoyed the atmosphere and reverence in this.

Your twist in the second stanza caught my attention too…great creative initiative! The overall troiku creates beautiful images. For me starting with a birthday cake almost implies candles so there is candlelight right from the beginning.

Images of candle light brings back such fond memories for me from childhood. I’m still trying to fully place them. So glad you like them Janice:)
