Micropoetry Day 3 Cherita

20171102_173636-1248584630.jpg

Photo taken today during my walk in the park.

So here’s my first Cherita. Or set of Cherita.

1
sunset

putting on a show
in autumn skies

looks like
the gods
are at play

2
late evening

flock of birds
sway across the sun

they move
to the song
in my head

3
romance

we have been done
and undone

it’s time
to let memories rein,
it’s time

  2. Love this form – it calls me! I did a strange thing with the reading, here, Pat; I read the 3 first lines (sunset/evening/romance) and then the second lines… It holds together so well that it works in every direction. Excellent write & excellent photo; the sky does put on a show for us, doesn’t it?

    • Hi Sarah, I like the way you’re thinking about this. In answer to your wonder, the song was there first ☺☺, and then they appeared. And the song was ‘Sway’ by Frank Sinatra. That’s how the word sway ended up in the poem. Thank you so much for reading and for your thoughtful comments ☺☺
