a scene evokes a thought –

a kernel of a poem

pausing to jot something down –

shadow of a poem

enduring odd stares as I come back –

caught in the moment

grabbing a poem by the tail before it dissipates –

the birth of a poem

  1. I like this muchly. My few neighbors know me because I am the yutz walking looking at sky, at the pebbles, writing and scribbling and meandering off into a ditch or mailbox. I like the kernel, shadow, and birth of a poem.
