Though ugly, colorful, tiny with spikey hair
To the little ones they bring no fear
Scattered over the living room floor
As Satuday cartoons invade my snores
In stumle from slumber my feet pay a toll
I’m face to face with those creepy trolls

For dVerse Poets Pub where the prompt is “Troll” for a quadrille..a 44 word poem invented by the members of dVerse Poets Pub. Drop in and have a read or join in. This prompt took me back to when my living roon was a huge play room, day in and day out.
Ha.. those little toys can be quite a dangerous thing on the floor

Yes, indeed! Taught you how to hop on one leg without squashing the kid😊

Troll toys and dolls were popular 25 years ago. My daughters had
dozens of them. We still use them for celebrating the holidays.

I like the idea of paying a toll to the troll. A fun way to start Saturday morning.

Ugly little suckers they were. I think they won the kids over with the bright colors☺

Oh gosh, funny (not the part about pain)…brings back memories of when I was a kid…we had trolls, made clothes and dressed them 🙂

That’s how I learned to sew, making doll clothes:))

Wow, that’s good–I never progressed to human garments 🙂 Well, okay…there were a few nightmarish Home Ec sewing class projects… 😦 The gene for spectacular seamstresses (grandma, mom) skipped me, though both my sisters inherited it. Today, I can’t even mend the split seam in butt of my pants 🙂

Yup, it definitely skipped you, lol! But to be fair my mom had 3 girls and she made all of our clothes. We kinda got the know how of sewing by osmosis😊

That is cool! I must say that, since my mom was an incredible seamstress, the dresses she made for me were perfection–‘specially the prom and pageant formals 🙂

Ha! This made me think of other toys one might step on, such as jacks or Legos. All those pointy parts of a troll doll would be painful indeed.

Oo! Jacks, those could truly be painful. That was one of my favorites when I was a kid😊
