This rise of incivility, hate mongering, and inhumane acts have settled in. It’s sowing itself into our fabric. I worry it’s a stain not easily removed.

  1. Wonderful political and moral poetic The sting of truth in every line. Fascism lurks and prepares to pounce. We, the people, the poets, must stop it!

  2. I love how language mirrors actions and negative words brig out negative emotions: incivility sounds like spitting, hate mongering reminds me of a shaken fist, and inhumane sounds like a loud moan of pain. I love the wordplay in ‘It’s sowing itself into our fabric. I worry it’s a stain not easily removed.’ The haiku is hard-hitting, Pat!
