I recently watched Rick Mercer (Canada) visit a glass blowing place and try to master it, so that’s probably why it was fresh in my mind. I LOVE Dale Chihuly’s work–you’re probably familiar with him–he’s from my area, Washington State 🙂

I wasn’t familiar. Just checked him out online, amazing work! It must be something to see him create in person.

I’ve watched PBS programs where his team is working on pieces for upcoming shows, and he’s describing the stress of packing Huge fragile pieces to be shipped somewhere…there are whole “gardens” made of glass…he’s phenomenal.

The whole idea of shipping such works sounds very stressful. Looks amazing.
