Oh yeah, I remember that you had a cool pond! So, fireflies like water? There’s a horrid “retention pool” near me–stinks to high heaven when it gets warmer…so I can’t imagine sweet little fireflies would like it, but my knowledge is smaller than a firefly 🙂
Hmm–well, since our lawn maintenance workers have not been here…due to Corona…I noticed our grass is definitely getting taller. Maybe I’ll have to go out after dark in a week or so, see if there’s any flickering goin’ on 🙂

I haven’t seen them in ages–we don’t have them in this area, apparently. I’m a block from a busy highway, lots of apartments–do you think that’s why?

Probably. I have a very busy garden that had a mini pond. So at dusk they came out in mass.

I also had a really fat really tall grass. I was just reading that that’s also a draw.
