For Cee’s Flower of The Day FOTD Challenge
Lina’s broom. An odd name but I like it. It lives in my garden where it’s doing battle with the Lilac and Hydrangea bush. It sits in the middle. All three of them sprawlers.. they’re working it out.
Here’s a picture of the same from last June. It’s well laden, in full bloom. I guess it starts now and just really fill out in a month or so.

This is beautiful! What kind of climate does Lina’s Broom like? I’ve never seen one before.

Well, it liked sun. Part of it was shaded by some vines and there aren’t much blooms on that side. And it comes back every year..surviving the snow here in the NY. My sister who lives in Florida can’t find it there. I think it’s too hot. So, it apparently likes napping over the winter๐.

Interesting. I’ve never seen it in New England.

I’m in NYC. If we have it so should you. It’s kind spindly without the blooms. Looks like if you tied it together tightly you could use it as a broom. Hence the name I guess.
It’s a semi evergreen (just saw that on the Monrovia plant site)
I took an earlier shot this spring before full blooms you can see it here. The difference is like night and day.
