My walks feel more like an escape from detention. So I find myself paying closer attention to the landscape. The park grounds keeper is clearly still struggling with this delayed upkeep. Wildflowers have taken over.
Often, I would come across a patch of yellow, with a pink one snuggled comfortably in their midst. How nice!

For Frank’s Weekly Haikai Challenge where the prompt is ‘Wild Iris’
Met this fellow in the park yesterday. He practically stood still for his closeup. Citified! I read somewhere that squirrels eat garden snails at times. Must be during times of ‘making do’. I’ve lived through a couple of those myself😊. Even so, what a way to go – inners gone, shell tossed.
