This is by far the coolest thing I’ve ever planted. You know those potatoes that are always growing in the fridge? This it’s cousin. Yep, I stuck it in the dirt in this
A tide pod container!
I read up on growing potatoes and it said the time to reap was when the leaves started looking a little wilty. It started looking like that to me two weeks ago. But I curved my enthusiasm..or is it curb.
Anyway, today I could wait no more. Now I know how those little potatoes end up being a party to the harvest. They grow like a family – parents and children.
I put the plant back in another pot with a really big potato attached to the stem. Wonder if that’s the same one I planted…I don’t know if it’s done, but we shall see.
Well, these parents and children are going in the saucepan with olive oil, garlic and the few string beans that was ready.π
A happy Saturday to youπ

Yes. Something with a wider mouth. I felt like I might have killed the poor thing trying to get to the potatoes. A container is better, I think. I tried this with carrots in the garden bed last year and forget about it. It truly went back to nature π. Thanks for stopping byπ.

ππ This is the first time I ever ate a potato with the skin on it. Because I know where it came from.. my Tide pod container π

I never thought about that…I just assume the cooking/baking process kills whatever “bad” is in the skin π Plus, I hate peeling them, haha!
