This one is hiding in the bushes. Love the stripes.

Very nice buildings. Very interesting styles. I do like the one that is currently a school, but that first door is amazing. I love the detail in that door.

The style of that first one does pop up here and there around here. When you do see them they’re often very well kept.

Big houses. Australian homes (even the cookie cutter ones) have started to have multiple gables. But they’re not as stylishly tall and elegant as the gables on American homes.

Maybe it’s because we don’t have snow. I know that’s one reason for steeply pitched roofs.

You might be right on that.

They do look nice. But the first time I went into one of them I disappointed with how small the rooms were.

When I was young I always wanted to live in one of those big houses with a turret. Now 4 rooms seems like a castle. But I still admire them. (K)

Me too… until I actually went inside one of them. The rooms are tiny! In my case I think it might have been too many English novelsđŸ™‚

These are great doors, Pat. The buildings in Brooklyn are not what I expected at all.

I know people who have that same thought. The houses are like the people.. a nice patchwork quiltđŸ™‚
