I do have these in my garden but not altogether like this. Mine are more scattered. This shot is from the plant store. But you’re right. Butterflies and bumble bees are always on them. I have some orange ones too. And I swear when I planted them a couple years ago they were pink.
Oh no, orange turned into pink! I raise monarchs. I plant milkweed for the butterfly to lay eggs, and plant zinnia for butterfly food. I have fruit trees, bees are needed for pollination. So my garden is for purchase planting.
Wow, Pat, you have all the beautiful butterfly flowers. My coneflowers didn’t do too well last year. I planted lots of zinnias this year.

It’s getting there. I also covered the flower beds with bark chips. It reduced the time to deal with weeds.

Good to know. I thought that was just to retain moisture. But I can see how the weeds would be squashed as well.
