Calm & Wild

I love the sound of waves clamoring ashore. I find myself wondering how many oceans they’ve crossed to get here. They come ashore with such
passion. And fade back out with such sense of accomplishment. The sound and the wind clear the cobwebs from my head. I always feel renewed.

as ocean claims shore
tucked in waves wild abandon
a noteworthy calm

Devine Calm

In response to Carpe Diem Haiku Prompt: Monophytism – Jesus – Devinity – Nature  are all wrapped up in this prompt. A very interesting read on the subject can be found at the link provided below.

Here, is my response to the prompt:

I have always tried to figure out what it was about the sound of moving water; whether it’s a creek, waterfall or waves lapping at the shore,  that seems to root into my soul, remove all that ails me and puts me at the center of calm

the sound of
rushing water
rapt in a Devine calm
