the snow covered field of yesterday
is now a patchwork of grass
now being tended to
by a meandering wave of returning geese –
the intricacies of spring

Wordless Wednesday
I went for a walk today. The park is still snow layden, white, crisp and has yet to be walked upon. Further down, before I came upon this scene there were lots of geese walking in a line. It seems they were taking care not to walk on the snow. Or maybe they were just foraging. It was odd to see.. a waddling line of geese.

For DP Weekly Photo Challenge : Story
Yesterday, I went walking at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. Everything has sprung!! I came upon this show at the lilly pond where there was a visitor.
The attendant said there’s usually two of them that visit every day.
And that they didn’t live there
It was amazing to watch!!
He put on quite a show. The odd thing was, he stayed right between these two lilly pads. Even with all his antics!!
He said a harty goodbye before taking flight.

I had to pull over to get this photo of these cherry blossoms through a mesh fence. They are all over the city. Everything is blooming. Spring at last!! These buildings are very well kept as are the grounds. Some have water view, some views of Manhattan and the bridge to Staten Island..
The geese are back, they were hanging out in the circle at the roundabout. Lots and lots of them!!
These gulls were at the parking lot of the mall. They were salivating over something. I think someone was feeding them.
That is my neighborhood for this week, enjoy. And a good week to all.
