Rainbow

burried deep
in gray skies
hint of hope

2
under dark gray skies

[…]“Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.”[…]

behind clouds
the bright sun hides her face

Inspired by:

Carpe Diem #888 Hatsuhikari (first light of the sun)

This month at Carpe Diem Haiku we’re working on kigo ( season) words. That is, words that in this form of poetry is referring to the time of year.
In this episode the words are the ” first light of the sun”, which is kigo for winter.

winter morning
first light of the sun … so fragile
reflects in the snow
