Time

not again –
this awakening
rests firmly
in the hands of time, will this last
or shatter like fragile glass

Stray Cat

wp-1587572227299.jpg

A mocking bird has been nesting in my small tree. She has been very vigilant about making a ruckus whenever anyone, or anything goes near her nest. The squirrel she was chasing around last week has moved! Now there’s this cat!

Nearly Spring

effects
This winter felt like a misnomer for most of the time. It has been marked with extraordinarily picturesque skies. Everytime I turned my camera skyward there was that little voice. Nature reminding me that at the very heart of such beauty, may be global warming.

As spring creeps in, I keep waiting for the charm of a proper snowfall. This unseasonably warm winter  seem to have fooled no one but me. The young leaves of the butterfly bush takes a stand. They look sturdy and healthy. They’re not going anywhere, despite their encounter with a transient snowfall. They’ve suffered no harm.

Belching Dragon

Wild fire roars through the hillside
Lick of flames releasing crumbling embers skyward like a belching dragon
With cinders on the fly furthering its cause

wild fire smoulders
flames refuse to be subduded –
nature’s wildest child

stoked by whipping winds fury
on insatible rampage
