my first thoughts –
you had fallen victim to a storm
or old age
then I saw it
you were born this way
wind in trees
dappled sunlight sway
For Haiku Horizons
I am looking forward to Christmas. And no, that’s not my tree:)
Mine is more homely, and alive, and still needs to be decorated:)
I’m going to a fancy birthday party here, really looking foward to it!
For all your support though this year, I thank you.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL!!!
May the New Year bring you more of what you NEED!

These were taken in the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. This tree still has working parts with greenery on it!. Just can’t find those photos now.
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Change.”
bold heavy raindrops

For Carpe Diem Prompt Summertime
lounging under tree
feel of dancing sunlight and shade
with eyes closed I dream
sunbeam on lids as leaves shift
at the will of gentle breeze
braved the elements through the ages
took the lumps grew the calluses
witness still standing
