Photo Challenge:Favorite Place

Taken off the pier in my neighborhood one evening this winter. A spring day came to visit. It’s a peaceful place where friends meet and folks toss their fishing line. The time for the comings and goings of boats have long gone. This, I am sure contributes to the sense of peace I feel here.

This is one of my favorite places.

Here is the quote to work with:

“People are afraid to pursue their most important dreams because they feel that they don’t deserve them, or that they’ll be unable to achieve them.” (Source: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho)

Experience & New – Synonyms

Well, I think I just made up my own synonym for ‘experience’ (untucking).
I stuck with ‘fresh’ for ‘new’

A wall of stickers. The outdoor wall. This place used to be a bar I think, it’s on Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn.

I was up in the mountains yesterday sitting by the creek, listening to its stories:

creek running wild, spring dance

Photo Challenge:Cherry on Top

Why a cherry on top?

He passed me on the pier. I couldn’t figure out where he was going because there was no one else there, plus it was almost 8pm. And for whatever reason I hadn’t noticed the fishing rod in his hand. Then when he was way way off, he cast his reel. very cool, I thought.

rod and reel in hand

lost in the sound of the waves
