Lately, I have been feeling like I have been living in Animal Farm. I hate that damn book! I read it in my infancy. I was twelve, and it was my first year of High School. Yes, back then we started High School at 12 and finished at 17. I loved that book! That is, until my teacher busted my bubble. Class discussions opened my eyes to the fact that this book was about humans behaving very badly. To this day I remember the quote I asked the most questions about in class. “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others”. I hate that damn book!

This is good, Pat! I would say you nailed the current state of politics in our country right now! LOL! I liked Animal Farm. I had to read it in history class, I think… ❤

Glad you like it. I try to block out some of this ongoing strife without much success at times. What to do, what to do:)

A very powerful haiku Pat given the inspiration for it. That is one difficult book to introduce to 12 year olds. Here it has been used in final years e.g. 17 and 18 year olds.

Thank you…weird times have become the norm it seems. When i look back at my high school years I see how intense they were. Most people didn’t go to university so a lot was crammed in…it felt like High School & College rolled into one. I have fun blowing my daughter’s mind every time I tell her the language I studied in High School was Latin. She thinks I’m making it up:) Different times.
