Loose Feathers
screams from night terror
pierce the moonlight – loose feathers
blow in breeze at dawn

Summer – A Quadrille
Longing for sips of summer –
Ocean breeze infused with sunshine
Lazy days watching the sun set
Short life of foot prints in wet sand
Watching seaguls and sparrows
out run the edges of waves
Yes, I am longing for the first sip of summer.

Thursday Doors
Entrance to an apartment building, now condos. Built in 1912. Look at the details in that surround!
Also built in 1912. A 2 bedroom unit in here was $800,000 last year!
Built in 1924. It has 58 units, and is 6 storiestall. It looks like it’s still being revamped. These were all in Brooklyn, New York.
This one was in Lower Manhattan. Built in 1901. Just love the colors here.

Entrance to a 6 story, 35 unit apartment building built in 1940
This one is a 4 story, 47 unit apartment building. This one was built in 1930.
Couldn’t quite figure out the address on this one. Around the corner from this is commercial space. Love the details here.
Below this is a store front. This is on Flatbush Ave. Looks like it’s biding it’s time to renovation. More likely sooner than later, hope they keep the details.
This is also on Flatbush Ave. Looks like it used to be a bank.
This building too used to be a bank, the Williamsburg Savings Bank building It’s at 1 Hanson Place. Now there are condos. The lowest priced one is over 1.5 million. I remember the decor in the lobby being really special, from the floors on up, when there was still a bank in the lobby. This building has been around since 1875.
For Norm’s Thursday Doors, pop on over, take a look, even join in!
