[…] “I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.” […] Lewis Caroll
end of summer day
spent at the beach rapt in
the roar of the waves
and the seagull filled sunset
I give thanks for this day of healing
Carpe Diem Haiku Prompt : Pleasure
…] “There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more.” […] Lord Byron
Yes, I can’t believe the fit to this prompt either, lol! Who knew! This was hanging on a wall outside a gallery on board a cruise ship..inside they were auctioning pieces from Matisse and other masters. I stood well outside the doors on this one. It was fun to watch though, it’s nothing I would have ever done on dry land:) Cruises, a world of their own. It was my first.
