under the furrowed gaze of ancestors
a nation undergoing one of the biggest bellyache in its history
is there no cure in sight for such stinking thinking –
a knot in time

Met this little guy in one of my morning walks. He actually stayed put long enough for me to take this picture. Then he took off like a shot!

on occasion she asks
to be taken over there
and thrown over
no indication as to where ‘there’ is
she just wants to be done with life
at times she would grab my hand and point with a huge smile
a finger to her lips, hushing me
she was listening as though she was a part of a conversation
and was trying to pull me in
I was to find out later this gathering included her mom, sister, nephew, my dad and some little girl she can never name
all are long dead
too bad I am not able to say
with any certainty that
I see dead people

I was across town in Park Slope this past Monday where I got these shots! Home owners are forever sprucing up over there, well kept!
This one is my fave this week🙂.

what if
down the road in time
a look back shows a loss of mind
facts wounded, locked in a bind
rummage through states of mind
shows emperor clinging to his line
time reveals some knew these truths
chose power, stayed tucked in ruse
