This Cloud – A Gogyohka

wp-1590698807814.jpgthis cloud, generations old
cavalier cruelty has me bawling again
in search of air I walk to the park
no sign of the sun
yet, a toddler chases butterflies

In response to the theme this week over at Colleen’s for Tanka Tuesday is a quote offered by Merril

“How fare that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a weary world.”

– William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice.

A Tanka

a fragrant noon breeze

the heady scent of lilacs –
a perfect spring day
then in this cherished moment
the buzz of a bumble bee

Thursday Doors – Around Brooklyn

An apartment building door.

Yep, that’s to a garden. Not attached to a fence. A fancy fenceless door. Odd!

I’ve never seen those on a door before, only on windows

The bottom of this door is down some steps.

That’s all for this week. Doorscursions in lockdown has been anemic at best. These I scored while on essential errands from the car.

Flower of The Day FOTD

For Cee’s Flower Of The Day FOTD where leaves are also allowed. Although, I am thinking this leaf really crashed the party by growing through the middle of this allium. Another photo taken on my walk of someone else’s garden.

Lina’s Broom – Flower of The Day

For Cee’s Flower of The Day FOTD Challenge

Lina’s broom. An odd name but I like it. It lives in my garden where it’s doing battle with the Lilac and Hydrangea bush. It sits in the middle. All three of them sprawlers.. they’re working it out.

Here’s a picture of the same from last June. It’s well laden, in full bloom. I guess it starts now and just really fill out in a month or so.
