I’ve been invited by Marilyn Exconde of
an excellent artist and poet, to write about love. She has followed my blog from before it morphed into a poetry blog. Thank you Marilyn, for your continued support.
This effort to be gently guided by the rules below. I thought it might be fun. Of course, there are nominees. And yes, I am dragging you into this. 🙂 If you choose to participate it just might be fun. Everyone has thoughts on love , right! So here goes.
RULES
Write about love using only 10 lines.
Use “love” in every line.
Each line can only be 4 words long.
Nominate 10 or so others who are up for the challenge.
Let them know about the challenge.
Title the post, Love in Ten Lines
Include a quote about love (i choose to affix my own)
LOVE
singular devotion this love
invades sinew this love
muddles thinking such love
fill senses such love
insatiable passion great love
unmatched yearning great love
hungry kisses heady love
pheromone fog heady love
bewitching attraction this love
no abating this love
MY QUOTE
“of all my loves
this one
powerless in its wake”

I’ve received the invitation. Honestly, I’m not sure I can write a poem with the word “love” in every line. I’ll have to meditate on it. Is there a deadline?

Nah! but I know what you mean. It took a while to complele. Only if you are up to it. I haven’t done one of these in a while..I was in mostly because it was a poem. 🙂

Hi there! Quite a challenge – to use love in every line – and a four-word line, at that! My post is finally live, though. Thanks for thinking of me! Hope you don’t mind my not nominating anyone – all the people I know well enough to invite have already been claimed! 😛
All the best —
Jen
