Carpe Diem Special #189 Georgia’s 5th strolling yesterday (tanka)

weeping willow
tendrils sway in autumn breeze
a gentle dance

a new day rises –
the weeping willow on the piazza
a birds’ gathering

strolling yesterday
astonished by the pine trees.
they seemed to copy
the heavy rain laden skies
imitating it’s wet lay.

Yes they are mesmerizing. I love willows and we have lots of them in my area … both the normal types and some of the broader leafed ones.

The one in my photo from the park has the broader leaf. I have a photo from underneath, feels like a living tree house:)
