ode to wind and swell
on this end of summer day –
beach time is over

On this last beach day of the summer season, unruly waves and hurricane winds kept most out of the water. It was a time to sit in wonder!
That must have been an interesting day to be out of the water like that! The water demands respect and can be so unforgiving.

It was, I couldn’t believe there were a few folks surfing. I was amazing to watch.

Surfing is amazing with high winds but I have always been too chicken.

I’m a spectator when it comes to that whole thing, lol. I would rather tune out to the sound of the ocean.

How I miss that; a friend is visiting her family in Morocco and I am living vicariously through her “live” videos by the sea. Just missing the scent of salt.

Technology is awesome now a days..I was on a cruise earlier this summer. Since then I’ve been at the beach at every chance:)

You are so close to the water, aren’t you? I used to want to go on a cruise but I learned i get seasick…not on a catamaran if I am sailing above but cannot go below. Oh I love to eat way to much, I would probably come back as an elephant:)

I am close to the ocean, about a 20 min drive. It was my first cruise so I went armed with 2 types of meds for nausea, but I wasn’t. And the food. You’re right about that. I was very surprised about the amount and quality of the entertainment too. I’d definitely do it again.

Beautiful words and photo. I bet that was an interesting sight to see. I saw a bit of the storm on the news, I hope you are safe!
