This month at Carpe Diem Haiku we’re working on kigo ( season) words. That is, words that in this form of poetry is referring to the time of year. For today the words are Neko Yanagi (pussy willow). The kigo words for january are for a more spring-like time, though it is still of winter. The longing for spring is taking over.
